Martin Russocki's painted portraits are a labor of love: the product of a close collaboration with his clients.

As an Artist, Martin Russocki has had the honour of being commissioned by distinguished clients such as Ted Rogers, HRH the Prince of Wales and many wonderful individuals with incredible life stories.

In this portrait of Ted Rogers, red represents the Rogers Family blood line. It is also the actual footprint of an electrical diagram created by Edward Rogers Sr., Ted’s father, who domesticated radio in Canada. The geometric shapes represent the building blocks of the Rogers empire. Ted’s figure is composed of dark shapes, which represent his father and lighter ones - himself, an expression of the enormous influence his father had on his life and career. The choice of colours reflect Ted’s exuberant personality and sense of humour.
